Hello all! Maya here, lead teacher at Makom Community. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about our super fun upcoming winter break camp days on Monday December 29th, Tuesday December 30th, and Friday January 2nd. Each winter break camp day includes a field trip, healthy snacks, Jewish learning and fun! Here’s all the information on camp day schedules, prices, field trip locations, and transportation information. Click here to register for camp days.
Pick up and drop off for all camps will be at Makom Community. You can extend the day from 3-6pm for $5. We are conveniently located at 2125 Chestnut Street. 20 minute parking is available for pickup and dropoff.
Frozen Camp
Monday December 29th
$40 + $10 Skating Trip
Our Frozen Camp field trip will be to the Penn Ice Rink located @ 3130 Walnut St. We will have staffed walking groups to and from Makom Community to the Penn Ice Rink. Includes ice skating lesson, skate rentals, and free-skate time.

8:30am Drop off Begins
9:30 Getting to know you games, Frozen themed team relays, and blanket making for tzedakah project
11:00 Lunch
11:30 Walking group to the Penn Ice Rink
12pm Ice skating lesson and supervised free skate time at the Penn Ice Rink
1:00 Walking group back to Makom Community
1:30 Make movie snacks and get comfy for a screening of Frozen!

Theatre Camp
Tuesday December 30th
$40 + $20 Beauty & The Beast Tickets– To guarantee a seat in our block, reserve your ticket by Sunday December 7.
Our Theatre Camp field trip will be to the Arden Theatre at 40 N 2nd St, to see a kid-friendly production of Beauty And The Beast. Staff and campers will travel together on SEPTA buses to and from Makom Community. We will make every effort to accommodate registrations after December 7, but we cannot guarantee a spot for this camp day unless you are registered and have paid in full by December 7th. You can register and pay for our theatre camp, or any other winter break camp day here.

Chocolate Camp
Friday January 2nd
$40 + $15 Museum Admission
Our Chocolate Camp field trip will be to the Academy of Natural Sciences located @ 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy. We will explore all the museum has to offer, including Chocolate: The Exhibition. We will have walking groups from Makom Community to the Academy of Natural Sciences and from the museum back to Makom.

11:45 Live animal demonstration
